Timothy D. Claiborne

Timothy D. Claiborne joined McDermott & Clawson in 2002 as a paralegal after gaining invaluable experience with personal injury insurance claims at CNA Insurance. Mr. Claiborne is a dedicated and knowledgeable paralegal, and a valued member of our team.

Background

Mr. Claiborne is a native Californian and attended Los Altos High in Hacienda Heights. Although he started his college career as a zoology major at Cal Poly Pomona, he completed his BA in Business Administration at Azusa Pacific University in 1985.

Several years later in 1989, Mr. Claiborne attended the Insurance Education Association for professional development and continuing education, attaining his Workers’ Compensation Claims Association (WCCA) designation. In 1998, Mr. Claiborne completed the Associate in Claims (AIC) program at the Insurance Institute of America.

While employed with CNA, he served as a member of the California Workers’ Compensation Institute Claims Committee.

Community Involvement

Mr. Claiborne currently serves as Voluntary Chairman of the Board for the Victor Valley Rescue Mission.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, skiing, sketching and traveling. In the course of his travels, Mr. Claiborne has seen New Guinea, the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
