Yalda Yousefi

Yalda Yousefi is an associate attorney and insurance defense litigator with the Encino office of McDermott & Clawson. She joined our firm in 2004 after an externship in the Los Angeles District Attorney's Juvenile Division.

Background

Ms. Yousefi and her family moved to Southern California from Iran in 1983. In 1999, she received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Yousefi earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2003. During law school, she served as a law clerk at:

Ms. Yousefi an active member of the California State Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar, and the District of Columbia Bar.

Community Involvement

Yalda is the president of the Ferdowsi Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises scholarship money for underprivileged youth.

As a contributing writer for Namak magazine and NYLA Magazine, Ms. Yousefi has written extensively on topics such as media personalities and charitable giving. She is also the Director of Development for "Humor for Humanity," an organization that raises money for various causes.

In her leisure hours, Yalda enjoys traveling, photography, belly dancing, and yoga.
