Tina M. Washburn
Tina Washburn is an associate attorney with McDermott & Clawson, helping clients at our Orange County office since coming on board with the firm in early 2002. She brings a wealth of medical knowledge and experience from her many years as a registered nurse, working in oncology, surgical, and orthopedic settings. She is also a certified public health nurse.
Background
Prior to receiving her J.D, Ms. Washburn worked as a staff nurse and charge nurse on the medical/oncology unit and as relief charge nurse on the surgical and orthopedic units of the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center in Orange County. Her hospital service included positions on several committees, including the Policy & Procedure committee and the Infection Control subcommittee.
She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Golden West College in Huntington Beach in 1993 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University–Long Beach in 1997.
Ms. Washburn graduated with highest honors (summa cum laude) from the Whittier College School of Law in 2001, and was admitted to the California Bar the same year.
She is an active member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Orange County Bar Association. In her spare time, Ms. Washburn enjoys reading science fiction and collecting animation to watch with her young niece.
