Stephen T. Gargaro

Stephen T. Gargaro joined McDermott & Clawson in 2003 after gaining ten years of experience as an attorney in private practice and with other California law firms. He has successfully handled many of our clients' difficult workers' compensation cases, including those involving subrogation and related issues. Mr. Gargaro is a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation.

Background

Mr. Gargaro obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1993 from San Francisco Law School, and his bachelor's degree in 1988 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. His years as an associate attorney with the San Francisco firms Franck & Associates and later The Law Offices of Rodel E. Rodis helped him hone his legal skills and courtroom knowledge, and his time spent in private practice and as an attorney with the Los Angeles law firm of Geragos & Geragos allowed him to further his experience.

Mr. Gargaro is a current member of the State Bar of California and a former member of the San Francisco Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law before:

• The United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California
• The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

When not practicing law, Mr. Gargaro enjoys spending time outdoors riding his mountain bike and skiing. He also has a number of creative interests, including music (his major in college) and painting.
