Martha M. Castillo

Martha M. Castillo has been providing excellent client defense and representation in workers' compensation cases at the Encino office of McDermott & Clawson since 2004. She joined our firm after obtaining her Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa in 2003.

Background

Prior to earning her J.D., Ms. Castillo studied political science at the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1999.

Ms. Castillo has accumulated a broad range of legal experience, having served as:

• An extern and law clerk at the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Juvenile Unit
• An intern and law clerk at the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund
• A law clerk at Escobar, Avila, Christopher & Ruiz, LLP, a Pasadena, California criminal defense firm

Ms. Castillo's legal skills and savvy make her a greatly valued addition to our firm. She is an active member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, and the Mexican-American Bar Association. A native Californian, Ms. Castillo is bilingual (English/Spanish). In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling.
