Jeff T. Hammill
Jeff Hammill is the managing attorney of the Inland Empire office of McDermott & Clawson in San Bernardino. He joined the firm in 2001, after eight years of service as an attorney and law partner at respected Southern California law firms. He has practiced law since 1993, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his work at our firm.
Background
Mr. Hammill graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 1989, majoring in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 1992 from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California.
During the years 1993 to 1998, Mr. Hammill worked as an associate attorney at the firm Ibold & Anderson, handling a variety of cases including workers' compensation. He was a partner at the Los Angeles law firm Douglas, Garey, Hammill & Robinson from 1998 to 2001, after which time he joined McDermott & Clawson.
Professional Affiliations
Jeff Hammill is an active member of the State Bar of California.
In addition, Mr. Hammill serves his community as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Claremont (appointed by the Claremont City Council in 2007). He is also a member of the Legislative Committee of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Hammill is a member of the California Coalition on Workers Compensation, Legislative Committee.
Community Service Work
With his wife Sharon, Jeff Hammill is a co-founder of Katie's Hope Fund, providing scholarships and assistance with medical bills to the clients of the Foothill Family Shelter in Upland, California. The Hammills established the Hope Fund in loving memory of their daughter Katie.
In his leisure time, Jeff enjoys baseball, golf, U.S. history and politics.
