Background

Ms. Jordan received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Sonoma State University in 1977 and worked for the Electronic Warfare Division of Texas Instruments initially as a Human Resources Administrator. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Redlands, she transitioned into working as a Quality Assurance Engineer. After leaving Texas Instruments, Ms. Jordan became the Executive Director for United Way of Indian Wells Valley until she left to attend California Western School of Law.

In 1997 Ms. Jordan graduated with her J.D. degree, passed the California State Bar examination, and opened up a private law practice specializing in divorce mediation, criminal law, and bankruptcy practice. During this time period she also taught Torts and Legal Skills at the Ridgecrest School of Law. After closing her law practice, she attended graduate school at the University of California Los Angeles to study Information Studies but returned to the practice of law specializing solely in workers’ compensation initially as an applicant attorney and later solely as a defense attorney.

When she is not working, Ms. Jordan enjoys music (her husband, Porter Jordan, is a songwriter), reading mystery novels, and traveling.
